Applied Cooling Technology offers in-house ultrasonic cleaning capabilities, widely used for the removal of contamination, build-up and grime from parts and assemblies in the automotive, marine, medical, industrial, utility and chemical industries.
Ultrasonic cleaning works by creating millions of microscopic bubbles in a solution with piezo-electric transducers attached to the outside of the tank. These bubbles expand and collapse creating tiny implosions called cavitations. It’s these powerful implosions that release and breakup dirt, build-up and contamination from the parts within a matter of minutes.
Because they are completely submerged in the tank and surrounded by the solution it means that the millions of bubbles can penetrate into every area of the part that are typically not accessible by other mechanical means of cleaning. | We also have the ability to utilize a mild cleaning solution to supplement the cleaning action of the ultrasonic transducers and produce a bright clean surface. Our ultrasonic cleaning machine is one of the most powerful in the industry with 72 transducers surrounding the over 1100 gallon tank which can accommodate even the largest jobs.
